- windarr, that's funny - I have a friend that came in to work a little teary because all her babies were "growing up" because she had always eaten off the kid's plate so as not to waste instead of ordering her own meal.

- As far as worrying about sending your kids to college, it is not your obligation to put yourself into debt or rob your retirement and savings to put your kids through college. Children have managed to work themselves through college for generations and the ones that do are better for the experience.

- I like swapping and trading and buying anything secondhand because it's the "green" thing to do. There is so much STUFF in landfills that people just got tired of and decided to toss and buy new.

- I am the other side of the "subprime" loan story. I was recently divorced after 25 years of marriage and had very little in savings and was renting an apartment. I did, however, have good credit and a steady job. I was able to get a HUD loan for a condo with no down payment and a 30-yr.

- Maybe if the Red Cross had not squandered money by providing drinks, ice, water and relief stations to the protest marchers in Jena that were too stupid to bring their own supplies, then they wouldn't be so strapped for cash.
